KANN MAX High-Resolution Portable Audio Player (Anthracite Gray)

Providing you with audiophile-quality sound in a compact and portable form factor, the anthracite gray KANN MAX High-Resolution Portable Audio Player from Astell & Kern sports four stages of gain and an ultrahigh output of 15 Vrms while delivering up to 13 hours of continuous playback. Audio is kept clean and pure with balanced 2.5mm and 4.4mm outputs as well as an unbalanced 3.5mm, which all use micro relays to keep them physically separated. For improved quality and durability, the outputs have a gold PVD coating to minimize noise. KANN MAX can perfectly drive even the most sophisticated headphones with high impedance, previously possible with a stationary headphone amplifier.

To help match the full depth of original audio recordings, the KANN MAX has been given quad ESS ES9038Q3M DACs. An analog volume controller delivers rich dynamic range without loss. Separate power supplies have been used for each audio block divided into DAC, volume, and amp. Through this design, the interference ripple noise of the DC-DC power supply is removed, thereby minimizing noise that is usually amplified by the op amp. KANN MAX is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 and support for 24-bit aptX-HD and LDAC codecs. The BT Sink function offers a wealth of flexibility by allowing you to transmit wireless audio from another device or streaming audio from the KANN MAX directly to Bluetooth speakers.
